Climate change is an existential threat to our planet. Donald Trump and Republicans deny its reality. Harry not only recognizes that it is real, he understands that we must take urgent action to combat it or put our planet at risk. He will listen to scientists – not politicians. Not only is investing in clean technology and green energy the right thing to do, it will save money while creating good-paying union jobs for Americans across the country. We only have one planet, and it’s on us to protect it for ourselves and future generations. In Congress, Harry will do everything in his power to ensure that the earth is liveable for future generations, including:

• Acknowledge climate change is real and rout out the institutional climate denial Republicans have baked into U.S. policy.
• Address the utility affordability crisis caused by President Trump’s attack on clean energy and misadventure in Iran.
• Restore climate-friendly energy tax credits repealed by this administration, and work to support a more innovative and sustainable future.
• Return the U.S. Government to science-based standards.
• Improve and streamline the permitting process for new clean energy projects to ensure that Americans are not saddled with exorbitant energy bills. Harry supports legislation that would accelerate the green energy revolution.
• Support development that respects residents, protects our environment, and puts transparency first. 
• Hold corporate polluters fully accountable and advance environmental justice by ensuring every community, especially those long overlooked, has clean air, safe water, and an equitable share of environmental protections.
