Harry knows that our differences should be celebrated, not used to divide us. He believes in the fundamental humanity in each of us. This administration has backed efforts to end birthright citizenship, reduced funding and staffing at the Office for Civil Rights, cut support for public universities, and directed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to investigate companies with diversity programs while overlooking longstanding discrimination complaints from marginalized workers.
Harry believes America is home to diverse cultures, communities, and people. It’s what makes us the greatest country in the world. It’s also how MAGA extremists are working to ostracize people and divide our society. Harry will fight tirelessly to protect the rights of marginalized peoples. In Congress, he will:
- Support the Equality Act to expand civil rights protections and be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
- Support legislation to study reparations for people impacted by slavery, redlining, Jim Crow, and more.
- Ensure that his staff in Congress is as diverse as the beautiful district that he represents.
